De installatie Unknown Places in de EEMS bestaat uit soundscapes, projecties en tekeningen. Het publiek maakt onderdeel uit van dit meditatieve werk en kan er als een slaapwandelaar doorheen dwalen.

Richard Bolhuis (NL/EN) exposeerde eerder in o.a. Hundred Years Gallery (Londen), The Model (Sligo), Groninger Museum en van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam). De afgelopen jaren richt hij zich in toenemende mate op projecten in verlaten ruimtes en afgelegen natuurgebieden in Noord Nederland. Tijdens zijn huidige in-residency Wildgroei op het Paradigm terrein verweeft hij natuurlijke elementen (mos, wilde bloemen en bomen) met zijn audiovisuele werk.

The installation Unknown Places consists of soundscapes, projections and drawings. The audience is part of this meditative experience and can dwell through it like a sleepwalker.

Richard Bolhuis (NL/UK) exhibited in Hundred Years Gallery (London), The Model (Sligo), Groninger Museum and Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam). In recent years his focus has shifted towards projects in desolate spaces and the remote countryside in the north of the Netherlands. During his current in-residency Wildgroei on the Paradigm terrain (Groningen) he interweaves natural elements (moss, wild flowers and trees) with his audiovisual work.
